Update:
Seller reports neg was removed for fb extortion.
The negative feedback removal was based upon my 'feedback extortion' complaint. The buyer threatened posting negative feedback if I didn't issue a full refund.
Almost more interesting.
Buyer doesn't receive anything.
Contacts seller, who refuses to help.
Buyer says "refund or I'll neg you".
Seller, smug holding DC and now feeling totally secure, says "take a hike".
Buyer negs.
Ebay removes neg, extortion.
The end.
Um, sort of.
Here was the original story:
Buyer reports non-receipt, gets into beef with seller, files INR.
INR awarded to seller because DC shows delivery.
Buyer negs.

Delivery has been confirmed; tried to help; watch for buyer to resell this item!
Neg is gone (not revised).
Seller reports:
The negative feedback has been removed by Ebay and I will certainly respond very differently should this type of thing occur going forward.

ReplyDeleteAre we to presume you have undeniable proof of that? . . . oh wait, it's just a useless blog.
What we know is that ebay does not know.
ReplyDeleteThus, their action is defined by that context, namely, buyer did not receive anything. If they are willing to remove such negs as extortion, they are silencing said buyer.
