A quote from board poster couldabeenworse
The key to success in retail is to sell stuff that customers want to keep. That's an extra challenge in mail order, where customers are unable to handle, inspect or "try on" the merchandise before purchasing. Accepting returns is a nuisance, but it makes your potential customer pool much larger, and hopefully the additional bids or purchases is sufficient to cover the expenses.
